What Are Similar Companies To Primerica In The Us? Does Anyone Have Any Market Data For This Industry Sector?

I’m doing a research on this topic for my bachelor-thesis. I would like to know if there is somewhere any data available for this industry sector. for example how many employees do the main player in this market have, what are their profits, revenues etc. Also who owns the client list? Primerica, the insurance company or the agent? Are there any conditions an agent has to consider when selling an insurance, for example can he just sell an auto insurance to any person or is his selling in any ways restricted for whatever reason. If so, for what reason is the selling restricted?

There’s thousands of companies that has similar business structure as Primerica. But as similar to the financial services, there is none that come close. There are MLM companies out there that can do parts of what Primerica can do, but they don’t do everything. Primerica help clients get the right amount of income protection for the lowest cost, get out of debt sooner, and help clients invest. Most companies can only do one or two of things I mentioned, so they don’t provide a total financial solution.
Anyway here are some data and information about Primerica filed at the Securites and Exchange Commission (SEC): http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1…
Client list is kept and can only be used by the agent at all times. It does not get shared with the company or other agents. I created my own client list and every single one of them belong to me. I will have people help me make phone calls, but I see the client. I may bring another agent with me to help train that agent. If I decide to leave (which will never happen since the company is awesome), I bring my list with me.
As for conditions in selling certain products, the agent must be licensed and/or approved in certain areas such as life insurance and securities (which are investments). If agent wants to do business in other states or territories, he/she must be approved by that state or terrirtory.
By the way, Primerica doesn’t sell auto insurance or homeowner’s insurance, but we have a company that does it for us. All I have to do is refer people to this company (called Answer Financial), and the company will list quotes of top brand names for the client. If the client does business, I get paid.

From a perspective from someone outside the company, I must correct some of the myths being typed here:
“There’s thousands of companies that has similar business structure as Primerica. But as similar to the financial services, there is none that come close.”
There are several that are better for the client.
“There are MLM companies out there that can do parts of what Primerica can do, but they don’t do everything.”
Most reps can’t do everything…most of them aren’t licensed to do so.
“Primerica help clients get the right amount of income protection for the lowest cost”
Absolute hogwash—Primerica is known as one of the MOST EXPENSIVE in the life insurance industry.
    “get out of debt sooner”
Sooner than what? With a loan that charges exorbitant fees, has rates in excess of 2% above market, how do people get out of debt sooner?
“Most companies can only do one or two of things I mentioned, so they don’t provide a total financial solution.”
Many companies consider this a “start” toward a financial solution…it’s what Primerica DOESN’T do that they don’t understand. They don’t provide and advanced planning, they don’t handle Long Term Care, they don’t handle Disability Income coverage, no estate planning, etc. All they do is sell expensive insurance and if you’re lucky, the rep is licensed to sell you expensive, underperforming investments.
“If I decide to leave (which will never happen since the company is awesome), I bring my list with me.”
Yes, but according to your Individual Business Agreement, you can’t contact them for 2 years,
